Bryan C. Ward receives Barry Goldwater Scholarship

Bryan C. Ward '11, student of the Computer Science and Engineering degree program, has been awarded the prestigious Barry Goldwater Scholarship. Bryan was one of the 278 scholars selected from a pool of 1,035 applicants each of whom was screened by their respective universities prior to applying to the Goldwater Foundation. He's been working with Prof. Felipe Perrone for nearly two years, with whom he co-authored papers that appeared in conferences in France and Italy. He has also been working with Prof. Nathan Ryan, from Mathematics, on number theory research.
