Each year, a select group of applicants to the incoming class is invited to apply to the Presidential Fellows Program. Presidential Fellows receive $20,000 annual merit scholarship renewable over four years and are matched with mentors from the faculty or university programs who include them in significant, long-term projects and experiences that can give them an edge after college.
If you are eligible for need-based aid through the Office of Financial Aid, your Presidential Fellows scholarship would be part of your aid package.
Presidential Fellows work closely with professors or University administrators on challenging, long-term projects that match the student's interests. If you become a Presidential Fellow, your weekly commitment would be six to eight hours during the academic year. On top of your scholarship, you would receive an additional fellowship allowance of up to $1,500. You would also be invited to academic and cultural activities on campus and select dinners with visiting scholars.
