The Bucknell Forum
Since 2007, the Bucknell Forum has brought national leaders, scholars and commentators to Bucknell to examine important issues from multidisciplinary and diverse viewpoints. Recent Forum speakers have included former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; actors/activists Jane Fonda and George Takei; authors Jodi Picoult and George M. Johnson; political commentators George F. Will, David Axelrod and John Kasich; and broadcast journalists Anderson Cooper, Yamiche Alcindor and Jake Tapper, among others.
Annual Forum themes address the most critical issues facing our nation and world today. Recent themes include World in Transition (2024-2025), Freedom of Expression (2023-2024) and The State of American Democracy (2022-2023).
