Keeping you safe.

Safety is a shared responsibility. Understanding the importance of cooperation, education, and a police-citizen partnership makes our campus, as well as our local community a safe and joyful place.

We welcome your comments and suggestions for making Bucknell University an even safer environment. To share your ideas with us, please visit our station (located next door to Bucknell Student Health on Snake Road down the hill from Trax Hall). We are always available for walk-ins or phone calls.

Public Safety provides information via this website, Facebook and Twitter. You can also sign up to become part of Bucknell's emergency notification system which will notify you via phone, text, etc. if an emergency should arise on or off campus.

Working together we will make the Bucknell University community a safe one for living, learning and playing. Feel free to visit Public Safety and say "Hi" or to grab some important information.

Did You Know?

Public Safety offers classes on event management, first aid (including CPR and AED use), travel safety, and personal safety.

Students, faculty, staff and visitors who drive vehicles on campus will be responsible for proper registration, use and operation of their vehicles in accordance with the traffic/parking regulations set forth by Bucknell University and Pennsylvania state law.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or Clery Act requires that crime information and fire safety is available to the campus community. Specifically, it requires schools to provide three different types of records: (1) an annual crime statistical report, (2) a daily campus crime log and (3) "timely reports" regarding crimes that present an ongoing threat to the campus community and (4) an annual fire statistic report.
