Welcome to Bucknell University's Army Reserve Officer Training Corps.

Since 1952, the Bison Battalion has been an elite officer-training program, earning the MacArthur award as the best small-school ROTC program in the eastern United States no less than three times in the past ten years.

We are dedicated to forging the very best of the next generation of army officers and leaders. Our leadership course offers top tier training, opportunities and benefits — arming our cadets with the tools and knowledge to achieve greatness in their careers and futures.

After years of training, senior cadets will raise their right hands to swear the oath of office to become officers in the world's most powerful army. Do you have what it takes to join them?

The history of the Bison Battalion dates back to 1862, with the formation of the Bucknell Guard, which saw action during the Civil War.
