Biography

Professor Bryan M. Vandevender is a dramaturg, director, and theatre historian. His research centers on the American musical in revival. His writing has appeared in Studies in Musical Theatre, Theatre Journal, Theatre Annual, Theatre History Studies, Media Ethics: Issues and Cases, and The Palgrave Handbook of Musical Theatre Producers. He is a member of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, the American Theatre and Drama Society, the American Society for Theatre Research, and the Mid-America Theatre Conference. He currently serves as the Focus Group Representative for ATHE's Music Theatre and Dance Focus Group.
