Meet Bucknell's Newest Professors

October 5, 2018

Interested in the industrial development of Vietnam, the mathematical structure of viruses, or financial modeling and option pricing? The Bucknell faculty now has experts in these areas and many more, thanks to 24 recently hired professors who are launching or continuing their academic careers at the University. Representing disciplines across the institution, these tenure-track teacher-scholars bring diverse perspectives, fresh ideas and energy to the classroom, laboratory and community.

"For those of us who have chosen to pursue an academic career, the new year begins in August when we welcome to campus not only a new class of students, but also a new cohort of bright and talented faculty members," said Robert Midkiff, interim provost. "These new faculty were selected through a demanding and rigorous process and they promise to continue our tradition of outstanding teaching and scholarship. I am looking forward to their contributions to our community and the University as they begin, or in some cases continue, their careers as exceptional academics."

This is the last of a three-part series highlighting recently promoted and hired faculty.
