From building cheeseburgers to shooting hoops and riding roller coasters, Bucknell's incoming first-year international students were immersed in American culture during International Student Orientation.

The annual event, held Aug. 10-14 this year, also gave the students the chance to complete practical tasks, such as opening bank accounts, with help from experienced international orientation leaders and assistants, who will provide guidance throughout the year.

But most importantly, members of the global group, representing 46 nations as diverse as Bhutan, France and Vietnam, formed new friendships as they took the first steps in their journey by way of Bucknell.
