RISE Event Sponsor/Greeter

Role Description and Details

• Responsibilities

  • Enthusiasm for alumni engagement and professional networking
  • Comfort with Zoom or event hosting platforms (training available)
  • Reliability and strong communication skills
  • Public speaking or facilitation experience (preferred but not required)
  • If Event Sponsor, support the cost of the event
  • If Event Greeter, assist with welcoming guests at registration table

   

• Skills and Experience

  • Strong interest in professional networking, mentorship and career development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with social media and/or professional networking platforms like LinkedIn
  • Comfort working in a virtual or hybrid volunteer environment
  • Passion for connecting Bucknell alumni and supporting lifelong learning
  • Previous leadership or volunteer experience (preferred but not required)
     

   

• Location

  Remote or in-person, depending on the event

   

• Time Commitment

  This is a short-term, one-time or occasional role based around specific events. Volunteers will be contacted as opportunities arise and can opt in based on availability and interest.

   

• Training Opportunities

  • Orientation session with staff from the Center for Alumni, Family & Philanthropic Engagement
  • Event facilitation best practices
  • Access to run-of-show documents and talking points
  • Support from Bucknell staff before and during the event
