RISE Social Media Ambassador

Role Description and Details

• Responsibilities

  • Share RISE-related events, opportunities, and content on your social or professional networks (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
  • Help amplify messages from the official Bucknell alumni channels
  • Contribute ideas or content (e.g., alumni highlights, career tips, quotes) for the RISE community
  • Use and promote relevant hashtags and engagement strategies
  • Encourage other alumni to follow, attend or participate in RISE activities
     

   

• Skills and Experience

  • Comfort and enthusiasm using social media or professional platforms
  • Basic understanding of networking and professional development themes
  • Ability to share information clearly and authentically
  • Creativity and a positive tone when engaging online
     

   

• Location

  Remote with expectation of attending events when possible.

   

• Time Commitment

  This is a long-term volunteer leadership role with an expected commitment of one academic year, renewable annually. Volunteers should anticipate quarterly meetings, periodic check-ins and collaboration around at least one to two key RISE events or initiatives per year. Ambassadors can expect to post and share one to two times per month and attend a brief onboarding session.

• Volunteer Expectations

  • Attend quarterly RISE planning or update meetings
  • Provide brief updates to the Bucknell staff liaison twice per semesterRespond to emails in a timely fashion and contribute to a positive, forward-thinking volunteer culture
  • Share at least one or two RISE-related posts per month
  • Engage with or reshare content from Bucknell Alumni accounts
  • Attend a brief onboarding session and check in once mid-semester
