Board of Review Appeal Process

A student may appeal a Board of Review decision to the dean of the college where the course resides. In cases where a course is crosslisted and spans multiple colleges the student's dean will hear the appeal.

To do so, the student should present a written statement explaining the reason for the appeal and any evidence not available at the time of the hearing. An appeal must be made within one month of the original Board of Review decision.

The dean may consult with an ad hoc advisory committee, which may include associate deans. The dean will respond to the appeal within 20 business days.
