Timothy Ledna
Asst Catholic Campus MinisterAbout Timothy Ledna
Mr. Timothy Ledna began in January 2026 as the Assistant Catholic Campus Minister at Bucknell University, where he is dedicated to fostering a meaningful Catholic community and inspiring student engagement. As part of the Religious & Spiritual Life team, Timothy provides one-on-one pastoral care, organizes social and spiritual programming, and collaborates with the Catholic Chaplain on liturgical services.
Timothy describes himself as a caring and mission-driven helping professional with a 20-year record of successful service to non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and church ministries. Born in Denver but raised in Chicago, Timothy’s character is deeply influenced by 18 years of Catholic education. While Mr. Ledna is most proud of being the adoptive father of three children, he also feels honored to have been an advocate for struggling communities, at-risk college students, the poor, and other under-served populations.
Timothy offers a unique blend of theological and clinical expertise, holding a Master of Arts in Systematic Theology from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), with specialized training in trauma-focused therapy. In addition, Mr. Ledna is a Lay Ecclesial Minister in the Roman Catholic Church and has formally been instituted into the Ministry of Acolyte.
Timothy Ledna has interest in researching the intersection of “happiness and holiness”; and as a pastoral care practitioner, Timothy further invites students, faculty, and staff alike to engage in conversations with him about positive psychology, social justice, and the practical applications of receiving and being Eucharist. Finally, as an undergraduate student of Loyola University Chicago, a Jesuit institution where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in the Humanities, Timothy is also interested in sharing with others his experiences of Ignatian Spirituality.
