Bucknell's campus is open, and we welcome visitors. In order to ensure the health and safety of all, the University has enacted COVID-19 protocols for events and visitors. These same guidelines apply to all, including our own students, faculty and staff, regardless of vaccination status.

Bucknell reserves the right to request that visitors who do not follow these protocols leave University property. These protocols may be subject to change at any time. Please check this page prior to visiting campus for the latest updates.

COVID-19 Symptoms & Exposure

Please do not come to campus if you do not feel well, have exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 in the past five days, have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past five days, or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past five days. If you tested positive more than five days ago but less than 10, you may come to campus but should wear a mask at all times, including outdoors.

Face Coverings

Bucknell's face covering requirements follow CDC guidelines, based on current rates of transmission of COVID-19 in Union County.

When transmission rates are low or medium, masks are not required in indoor campus spaces, at campus events or on the Downtown Shuttle.

When transmission rates are high, face coverings are required of everyone in all public and academic indoor campus spaces.

Face coverings are not required in outdoor areas of campus. This guideline applies to all visitors regardless of vaccination status. Please always have a mask available when you are on campus. KN95s are recommended.

Event Capacity & Social Distancing

Some events may impose additional guidelines for social distancing or limit guest capacity through ticketing and occupancy restrictions. Advance registration may also be required for some events. Guests and visitors should observe these restrictions and posted signage, including instructions for social distancing.
