Rooke Chapel Gospel Music Fellowship
We are pleased to welcome back Rev. Angela Jones as our 2025-26 Gospel Music Fellow!

Rev. Angela Marie Jones, originally from Washington, D.C., is a highly acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer who has been enchanting audiences with her remarkable voice since the age of four. As an alumna of the Howard University School of Divinity, Class of 2014, Rev. Jones plays a vital role in nurturing artist-citizens and faith leaders through various national initiatives. She has just been selected to be inducted in the 40th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. College of Ministers and Laity Board of Preachers.
As a gospel recording artist, she has performed alongside esteemed Billboard-charting artists such as Karen Clark Sheard, Richard Smallwood, Yolanda Adams, BeBe Winans, Marvin Sapp, and Brandon Camphor & OneWay. Her group, Brandon Camphor & OneWay, are 2025 Stellar Award nominees, attained four Top 30 positions on the Billboard charts, and won three Wammie Awards, amassing over 3.5 million digital streams and receiving airplay on platforms like SiriusXM.
Rev. Jones has overseen productions for diverse events, from cross-genre music performances to significant corporate gatherings at prestigious venues like the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Previously serving as the Director of Arts Programming at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, she mentors emerging artists in vocal technique and performance at her voice studio, The Missing Piece.
As a music practitioner, Rev. Jones collaborates with churches and universities, including Bucknell University, to foster enriching teaching and mentoring environments for musicians and music enthusiasts. She is actively involved with organizations that support the performing arts in Washington, D.C., serving on the boards of the DC Collaborative and Friends of the Carter Barron Amphitheatre. Additionally, she is a member of The Society, Incorporated, a national organization advocating for young people in the arts.
Currently, Rev. Angela Marie Jones serves as the Minister of Worship Arts at Word For Life Church Ministries in Fort Washington, Maryland. She also holds the position of Executive Director at Youth Guidance, an educational nonprofit empowering young men of color to succeed academically in high school and in life. In 2024-25 Rev. Jones served as the Rooke Chapel Gospel Music Fellow and we look forward to welcoming her back to Bucknell.
Rehearsals and Workshops
Rehearsals and workshops are typically on Saturdays, followed by performances during Worship at Rooke Chapel on Sundays.
