William and Mary Women's Chorus Concert March 28

The William and Mary Women's Chorus will perform in concert Saturday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Rooke Chapel at Bucknell University.
The concert, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Bucknell Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life.
The program will include "Lily of the Valley" (arr. Moses Hogan); "Pueri Hebraeorum" by Palestrina; "Regina Caeli" (arr. William Hawley); "Hot Tea, Mint & Olives" by Kareem Roustom; and "Wade in the Watah" (arr. Ysaye Barnwell).
Under the direction of Jamie Bartlett, the Chorus is an undergraduate, female ensemble of 45-55 members from different concentrations and interests at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. Formed in 1923, the audition-only group took the name "Women's Glee Club" in 1928.
Throughout the academic year, the Chorus gives several performances, including a Candlelight Concert and a holiday concert in Merchant's Square in Colonial Williamsburg. During the 2012-13 season, the Chorus performed for His Holiness the Dalai Lama during his visit to the campus.
The associate director of choirs at the College of William and Mary, Bartlett holds her degrees from Mount Holyoke College, The Eastman School of Music and The University of Wisconsin-Madison. Active as a guest conductor and clinician, she also serves as Director of Music at the Williamsburg Unitarian Universalist Church.
