College Admissions Workshop is for children of Bucknell alumni, faculty and staff who will be high school juniors or seniors during fall 2018. The sessions are designed for both student and parent participation

Explore how you fit into the college admissions journey. Bucknell University admissions experts will prepare you for the college search and application process. No matter what your academic interests and strengths are, we will encourage you to explore a variety of college options.

Workshop Fee

$350 (please see registration form for detailed information). Fee includes meals (lunch on Thursday - lunch on Friday) and overnight student accommodations on campus.

The Support

At College Admissions Workshop, you'll experience a mixture of group presentations and individual meetings. Staff will focus on topics such as:

  • Searching for and researching appropriate colleges
  • Writing a winning college essay
  • Making the most of your college visit
  • Financing a college education.

They will also be on hand to review transcripts and provide course selection guidance (for rising juniors) individual essay guidance and/or feedback (for rising seniors).

The Experience


As a workshop attendee, you will stay overnight in a campus residence hall and eat meals in the dining hall. You will have the opportunity to get advice from current college students and to explore Bucknell's campus. Your parents will also have the opportunity to participate in various workshop sessions.
