Important Housing Dates

Fall Break

Fall break will begin on Friday, Oct. 9, at 4:30 p.m. and end on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at noon.

• If students plan to reside on campus at any time during fall break, they must fill out the Fall Break Request Form located on their myHOME page. Fall Break Registration form will open on Monday, Sept. 28, at noon and close on Friday, Oct. 9, at noon.
• If students are interested in transportation shuttles for the break, please refer to the Student Transportation website.
• For dining hours, please refer to the Dining Services website.

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving Break starts on Friday, Nov. 20, at 5 p.m. and ends on Monday, Nov. 23, at 8 a.m. Students may return to their halls on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m.

• Students planning to stay on campus during the Thanksgiving Break must fill out the Thanksgiving Break Request Form located on their myHOME page. The form will be available from Wednesday, Nov. 4, at noon to Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 4:30 p.m. Students who do not submit the Thanksgiving Break Request Form will not be allowed to stay on campus and late requests will not be honored.
• Residential halls will close on Friday, Nov. 20, at 4:30 p.m. and reopen Sunday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m.

Winter Break

Winter Break Housing starts Dec. 18, 2026 through Jan. 17, 2027. If a student needs to remain in their campus residence during Winter Break, they must submit a request through myHOME and receive approval from Housing and Residential Education. 

• Approved students will be charged a Winter Break Housing Fee, for one or both sessions, and  will be billed separately to their B-bill in January with a due date of Feb 12, 2027. 

• To ensure access to the residence halls during Winter Break, student ID card access will only be activated after registering with Housing and Residential Education with approval to remain on campus. 

• Applications will open on Oct. 5, 2026 and close Dec. 1, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.

Spring Move-in

Student housing will officially open on Friday, Jan. 15, 2027. Card access will resume on this date. If you are moving in for the first time this academic year or are scheduled to change rooms, you should come to the Housing Services office to pick up your room key. Our office is located in Vedder Hall, Room 126. 

The office will be open during the following dates and times over the move-in weekend:

• Friday, Jan. 15, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Jan. 16, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Sunday, Jan. 17, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Monday, Jan. 18, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Regular office hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2027.

If you are arriving outside of these hours, please contact the Residential Adviser (RA) for your respective building.

Reminder: Students who need to move in early must submit a Winter Break Request Form, which will be available in myHOME at a later date.

Spring Closing

Final exams end on Wednesday, May 12, 2027. 

Non-graduating seniors will be required to move out of their campus housing 24 hours after their last final exam or no later than noon on Thursday, May 13, 2027. Students are expected to return their room to its original condition and return their room key to avoid a $150 lock change charge.

Graduating seniors will be required to move out of their campus housing no later than noon on Monday, May 17, 2027. Students are expected to return their room to its original condition and return their room key to avoid a lock change charge.
