Move-in & Closing Dates

Fall Break

Fall break will begin on Friday, Oct. 10 at 4:30 p.m. and end on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at noon. 

• If students plan to reside on campus at any time during fall break, they must fill out the Fall Break Request Form located on their myHOME page. Fall Break Registration form will open on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at noon and close on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 4:30 p.m.
• If students are interested in transportation shuttles for the break, please refer to the Student Transportation website.
• For dining hours, please refer to the Dining Services website.
   

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving Break starts on Friday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. and ends on Monday, Dec. 1 at 8 a.m. Students may return to their halls on Sunday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. 

• Students planning to stay on campus during the Thanksgiving Break must fill out the Thanksgiving Break Request Form located on their myHOME page. The form will be available from Wednesday, Nov. 5 at noon to Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 4:30 p.m. Students who do not submit the Thanksgiving Break Request Form will not be allowed to stay on campus and late requests will not be honored.
• Residential halls will close on Friday, Nov. 21 at 4:30 p.m. and reopen Sunday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.
• Transportation shuttles for the break

Winter Break

Winter Break begins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, and ends on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. During this time students will not have access to their campus housing unless they register to stay during the break. 

• Students planning to stay on campus for any time during the break must complete the Winter Break Request Form (this includes Late Stays and Early Arrival requests) found on myHOME. Students who do not submit the Winter Break Request Form will not be allowed to stay on campus and late requests will not be honored. Winter Break Registration Form opens on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at noon and closes on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 4:30 p.m.
• Residential halls will close for Winter Break at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 and will officially reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.
• Transportation shuttles for the break

Spring Move-In

Student housing will officially open on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026. Card access will resume on this date. If you are moving in for the first time this academic year or are scheduled to move rooms, you can come to the Housing Services office to pick up your room key. Our office is located in Vedder Hall, room 126. 

The office will be open during the following dates and times over the move-in weekend:

• Friday, Jan. 16, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Jan. 17, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
• Sunday, Jan. 18, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
• Monday, Jan. 19, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

Regular office hours (8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026.

If you are arriving outside of these hours, please contact the Residential Adviser (RA) for your respective building.

Reminder, for students who need to move in early, must submit a Winter Break Request form, which will be available in myHOME on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at noon.

Spring Break

Spring Break begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, and ends at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026.

• Students planning to reside on campus at any time during the Spring Break must fill out the Spring Break Request Form located on their myHOME page. Students who do not submit the Spring Break Request Form will not be allowed to stay on campus and late requests will not be honored. Spring Break Request Form will become available at 12 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, and close at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026.
• Residential halls will close on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. and reopen Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2 p.m.
• Transportation shuttles for the break
• Dining Services hours – check if they will have limited hours
