Housing Rates
Below are the room rates for the various housing options on campus. These prices are per semester, not for the full academic year.
Housing rates are dependent upon the capacity and amenities of the room (air conditioning, apartment style, etc.). If a room change is made, the rate a student is charged may change based on these amenities and the number of days the student resides in the room (maximum 114 days per semester).
Winter Break Housing Fee
Students who remain on campus for any portion of Winter Break will be able to choose one of two options:
Option A: Housing with a traditional winter meal plan that includes access to on-campus dining and Bull Run, depending on dates.
Option B: Housing with Dining+ Dollars that can be used at campus dining locations as well as participating local establishments, including Giant, providing students the flexibility to purchase groceries and prepare their own meals.
Housing and Residential Education will communicate with all residents about the winter housing registration process. At that time, students will select either Option A or Option B and indicate whether they will be staying for Session 1, Session 2 or the entire Winter Break.
Below is a breakdown of the winter fee 2026/2027 structure.

** For session 2, Residential Advisors (RA's) and Athletes will have prorated Housing fees and meal plans based on the University's mandatory return dates for their respective roles. RA's and Athletes will know these dates and fees later in the fall semester.

**To assist with financial planning, a charge for a housing assignment is placed on a student's account until a room has been assigned. This is typically applied at the end of May until the housing assignment has been made (July/early August) and pertains to students who did not obtain a room during room selection.
