About the Teaching & Learning Center
The Teaching & Learning Center works with faculty, students and other campus partners to support the implementation of a broad range of pedagogical practices through workshops, reflections and conversations. The center does not espouse a single philosophy; instead, it exists to foster reflections on and conversations about teaching and learning. The aim is to work closely with teachers and students and to provide support for them in whatever area they choose.
Goals
- Share pedagogical research and practices
- Deepen understanding of curriculum design and implementation
- Improve student learning at Bucknell
- Foster community
- Open conversations
Four foundational principles guide our decisions regarding selecting programs to meet these goals:
- Student-centered
- Activity-based
- Inclusive
- Reflective
Accomplishing these goals with these principles requires a broad range of programming.

Advisory Board
The Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) Advisory Board functions in a consultative and communication capacity, supporting the TLC, which in turn benefits Bucknell students, faculty and staff. Each year the board expects to be composed of the TLC Director and team members, faculty and staff and a student(s) representative.
