Medical History & Health Insurance
All new students are required to have a doctor complete a medical history record and verify medical dates. This form is included in the registration materials you receive from ISSS between March and May. Students on a U.S. visa must also purchase Bucknell's health insurance and are automatically enrolled. You will receive this bill — an estimated cost of $2,300 USD for the 2022-23 academic year — along with your tuition statement. You will learn more about health insurance during the GC3 Program.
GC3 Global Connections, Cultures & Community
International students attend a five-day Pre-Orientation program designed to welcome you to campus. This orientation is required for any international student on a visa. Any student is welcome to attend, and we do typically have many students from around the world, including the U.S.
Immigration Status & Travel
Get information related to immigration status, SEVIS, your immigration documents, maintaining your legal status in the U.S. and traveling while here.
What to Bring With You
Bring immigration materials, health records and medication, and Bucknell University documents.
Housing Services will place you in a Residence Hall. We encourage you to opt for a roommate. Living with another person who shares this new experience is the best opportunity to make friends and adjust to life in the United States.
Paying Tuition & Fees
Tuition and fees are billed twice a year — fall and spring semester. Your first-semester bill is issued in July and due in August and typically includes fees for tuition, student activities, room and board, and health insurance.
Your Bucknell ID Card
Your BU ID card is your official Bucknell identification Card and should be kept with you at all times. Your card provides you with privileges for multiple campus services.
