Parents Association

• Learn about Bucknell and the Parents Association, its purpose, programs and activities.
• Serve as a member of the Parents Board for the duration of your student's enrollment at Bucknell or a mutually agreed upon timeframe with the University.
• Attend and engage in two on-campus board meetings per year.
  • Spring meeting over Admitted Students Day each April
  • Fall meeting over Family Weekend each fall
• Make an annual gift to Bucknell in accordance with your capability to give.
• Decide how you would like to make a difference for Bucknell and carry out your work in a focus area of your choice.
• Be responsive to the Center for Alumni, Family and Philanthropic Engagement (CAFPE) at Bucknell for all requests.
• Be an advocate for Bucknell and serve as a resource for families in your geographic area.
• Participate in on-campus and regional Bucknell events as recommended.

• Applications for the term beginning in April 2026 will be accepted through Jan. 15, 2026.
• We will accept applications from parents with students in the Classes of 2028 and 2029.
• Complete the Parents Association Board of Directors Interest Form to apply.
• The membership committee meets in February. Parents applying for membership will receive a response by early March.
• New members will attend the on-campus Parents Board meeting in April.
• The member's term runs until the youngest child of the member's family graduates from Bucknell.
