For Students

The Bucknell Institute for Public Policy empowers students to create new understandings of the world around them and explore policy by providing internships, research and presentation opportunities.

BIPP Summer Research Fellowship

As a BIPP Research Fellow, you will engage in research with faculty mentor supervision for eight to 12 weeks over the summer. At the end of your fellowship, you’ll present what you’ve discovered, preferably at the Susquehanna Valley Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Internships through BIPP

BIPP student interns gain valuable career preparation and an inside view of a working policy institute. Our students perform a variety of important roles that allow them to take their interest in politics and policy out of the classroom and into the national forum. Their responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the social media presence for the institute.
  • Promoting events.
  • Helping organize events and brainstorming activities for the institute.
  • Hosting speakers and the Advisory Board.
  • Writing weekly op-ed columns for The Bucknellian.

If you are interested in getting involved, watch for openings at the beginning of the year on Handshake.
