The Bucknell University Alumni Association (BUAA) serves Bucknell by maintaining close relationships with the University and current students. At a high level, we represent the alumni community, engage Bucknellians and promote and enhance the University.

We offer students opportunities to discover personal and future career paths during their four years on campus and beyond.
First Night celebrates the close of the first semester for the first-year class, and the beginning of their lifelong journey as Bucknellians. We meet with students in their residence halls to explain the symbolism behind the night, define the role of the BUAA, build excitement about what it means to be a Bucknell alumna/alumnus, and make a personal connection.
Sophomore Career Options & Opportunities Brunch
Co-hosted by the Center for Career Advancement and the BUAA, this event encourages sophomores to build relationships with alumni who are eager to help them explore their career goals. Connections begun at this event often lead to summer jobs and internships as well post-graduation opportunities.
Junior Year Mock Interviews
BUAA board members return to campus in January and work with the Center for Career Advancement to hold mock interviews with juniors. These sessions offer students an opportunity to test the waters, get questions answered and polish their interviewing acumen.
Senior Sunset Toast
Seniors gather as a class one last time before Commencement at this moving annual tradition. BUAA board members also attend to welcome the class to the BUAA and recognize contributions to the Senior Giving Drive.
We eagerly pursue opportunities to maintain a close connection with Bucknell and give of our talents to serve our alma mater and our communities.
BUAA, the Parents Association and Bucknell regional clubs around the world collaborate to create opportunities for alumni, students, parents and friends to give their time and hearts to help others in need.
Established in fall 2011 and held every two years, the summit gathers the alumni community's most dedicated volunteers to network, share best practices and learn from one another on how to best serve the University.
We believe in Bucknell. We invest in alumni and in this institution through gifts to the University.
Alumni Association Awards
During Reunion Weekend, the Alumni Association presents four awards:
The Pennant Program recognizes select members of the senior class for their service as students and ambassadors for the University.
Students honored in recent years include seniors who serve vitally important roles as student callers, Admissions tour guides and office staff, and student Alumni Board representatives.
Alumni Association Grants
The Bucknell University Alumni Association dedicates funding to support various programs and scholarships that further the mission of the BUAA. Events or programs that bring alumni and students together are of particular interest. Applications for programs/initiatives that encourage an increase in alumni participation, awareness of the BUAA’s programs, and/or involvement in the University’s activities will be considered. Travel and Hotel expenses are not eligible for funding consideration. To inquire about BUAA Grants, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or submit an Alumni Association Grant Request.
We continually seek opportunities to engage Bucknellians around the world to broaden and deepen lifelong relationships with Bucknell.
