Douglas B. Hall '91 Rock Climbing Memorial Park

Located between the Gateway Apartments and the Grove, the outdoor bouldering park offers the Bucknell community a fun and exciting venue for rock climbing. The outdoor bouldering park consists of two large boulders that host an array of climbing holds and natural features for all skill levels.
Douglas Hall, class of 1991, was an avid climber and outdoor enthusiast. He graduated from Bucknell with a degree in engineering, and moved to Colorado to work for Black Diamond, and then worked as a photographer. Doug Hall was killed in an avalanche while climbing the notorious Fang Route in Provo Canyon, Utah, in 1997. He left behind a legacy of adventure, a list of first ascents, and an adventurous spirit that OEL is honored to remember and celebrate through this climbing facility. This facility is a generous gift from his parents, Gerry and Nancy Hall, as well as many friends of Doug's.
