  • Made additional financial aid possible for students in need.

• ​College of Arts & Sciences

  • Supported some of the 250+ students' summer internship and research experiences, helping students explore their futures with internships both on campus and around the country, including options that give them hands-on working experience, networking and class credit.
  • Hosted three artists on campus as artists-in-residence, providing students with opportunities to engage with and learn from these accomplished artists through master classes, workshops, demonstrations and studio critiques.
  • Brought multiple speakers to campus to speak on many topics across disciplines.

   

• College of Engineering

  • Created cohort groups for incoming first-year students through the Engineering EXCELerator, a program in which students complete a design project and attend workshops on academic success in preparation for their transition to college.
  • Secured support for a partnership with Geisinger to build and design healthcare technology that advances the outcomes of patient care.
  • Provided compensation for professorship and chair positions, helping to attract and retain the best and brightest faculty members

   

• Freeman College of Management

  • Supported financial literacy through the class "Beyond the Bucknell Bubble: Personal Finance in the Real World Seminar." Offered to management and non-management students, the class outlines the basics of budgeting and taxes, savings and investment, credit and debt, and insurance.
  • Secured access to the National Financial Educators Council, a learning management system hosted by a leading provider of independent financial wellness resources
  • Continued community support for students in Management 101 serving groups including Disabled American Veterans, RiverWoods Meals on Wheels, Lewisburg Children's Museum and The Improved Milton Experience.

   

• President's Fund

  • Provided funding for the pilot year of Art in Amsterdam, enabling eight students to spend their spring break touring art venues in the Netherlands and meeting art collectors Bob '73 and Renée Drake. The trip was led by Richard Rinehart, director of the Samek Art Museum and Sally Koutsoliotas, professor of physics and director of the Presidential Fellows Program.
  • Provided project support for the Outdoor Education & Leadership (OEL) programming that includes refrigeration equipment for the OEL facilities.
  • Supported the pilot of the Residential College Program Senior Dinner Seminar program. Seventeen students in the senior class were provided a curated space and time to reflect on their Bucknell careers and the coming transition to the world beyond Bucknell.
  • Contributed support for the documentary produced by Professor Coralynn Davis titled "Sama in the Forest," which explores the power of stories to shape, challenge, and change our understanding of the world, delving into the subversive role women's folktales can play in a patriarchal society.
  • Supplied supplemental salary support for Professor Kevin Myers, recipient of the James McKeen Catell Fellowship, a national, highly competitive sabbatical award for psychology research who spent his year on a sabbatical in the neuroscience program at the University of Southern California, studying the neurological and behavioral effects of food insecurity.

   

• Bison Club

  • Helped Bucknell Athletics & Recreation Drive for Five with over $3.4 million in annual support.
  • Enhanced operating budgets for nutrition, team travel, recruiting, strength and conditioning, and leadership development for 27 Division I teams.
  • Helped celebrate departmental excellence and success, including the annual Senior Awards banquet and the Hall of Fame class induction ceremony.
  • Increased support for mental health and student-athlete well-being through the Bison Athletics Fund for Excellence.
  • Provided a great experience for 750-plus student-athletes who are building a foundation at Bucknell to become leaders and difference-makers around the globe.
