Directions

Parking

When patrons arrive on campus for a Weis Center event, “Event Parking” directional signs will be posted, and public safety officers will be stationed to guide traffic.

General Event Parking

  • There are two parking lots directly behind the Weis Center. One is marked "visitor" parking (Lot # 72), and the other is marked "staff" (Lot #73) but is open to the public after 5 p.m.
  • Downhill of the Weis Center, there are two lots available to patrons: Lot #1, which shares parking with Bucknell’s shuttles, and Lot #5 near Gerhard Fieldhouse.
  • There is an additional parking lot just up the hill from the Weis Center (Lot #11), next to Marts Hall. It is marked "staff" but is open to the public after 8 p.m.
  • Uphill from the Weis Center and Christy Mathewson Stadium, patrons may park in Lots #63 and 65.

Accessible Parking

  • Convenient accessible parking is available adjacent to the Weis Center. Lot #71 is marked "staff," but it is used as accessible parking during Weis Center performances.

Overflow Parking

  • There is also additional overflow parking in Lots #57 and 59, immediately off of South Campus Drive. Please see the campus map for details.

Courtesy Policies

  • Some audience members are allergic to perfumes. We kindly ask that patrons refrain from using large quantities when attending Weis Center performances.
  • The Weis Center is a finely tuned acoustic venue, so please be aware that noises like coughing and talking can be heard on stage and elsewhere in the auditorium. These noises carry as easily as music from the stage carries to the seats.
  • Please remember to turn off electronic devices like cellphones when enjoying a Weis Center performance. Photography and recording of any kind (video or audio) is prohibited.
  • The Weis Center is a smoke-free facility.

Children

We are devoted to making the performing arts available to everyone, including children of all ages. Suggested ages are noted in promotional materials, and Family Discovery events are noted as such. For events not specifically geared toward young audiences, parents are asked to carefully consider whether a performance is appropriate for a child before planning to attend.

Children under 2 years of age and seated on a parent's lap may enter the venue without a ticket. Children 2 years and older must have a ticket to attend any event.

Disruptive patrons, including children, will not be allowed to remain in the auditorium.

If you have questions about the age appropriateness of a specific event, please call 570-577-3727.
