Patron Code of Conduct
The Weis Center for the Performing Arts is committed to creating a welcoming, safe and inspiring environment in which all patrons, performers, students, staff and volunteers are treated with dignity and respect.
Behavior that is disruptive, potentially harmful to others or distracts from the event will not be tolerated.
This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Disruptive behavior of any kind that interferes with the event or performance.
- Ignoring requests from venue staff and security regarding facility operations and emergency response procedures.
- Verbal or physical harassment, including abusive language and gestures, threats, cursing or sexual language directed at others.
- Any form of discrimination or harassment because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, citizenship, sex, pregnancy, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability or veteran status.
- The carrying of firearms or other dangerous weapons.
- Bucknell is a smoke-free campus. No smoking or vaping is permitted in campus buildings or while on campus property.
- Use of illegal substances is not tolerated on campus or while at campus events.
- Patrons who are visibly intoxicated or disruptive may be asked to leave.
- Patrons are asked to respect both event etiquette as well as post-event etiquette by exiting event spaces within a reasonable time frame so staff and visiting guests can complete business transactions and general closing operations and procedures.
- Behavior that is in violation of government and University laws and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
- Bucknell reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to rescind access privileges to any person who is violating or has violated university policy, protocol, procedure, practice, or applicable laws or regulations.
