Student Complaint Resolution

To comply with federal regulations (34 CFR 602.16(a)(1)(ix)) and regional accreditation requirements (34 CFR 668.43(b)), Bucknell University provides the following information to our prospective and current students regarding information for filing complaints.

Bucknell University makes every effort to resolve student complaints internally, using policies and procedures outlined in the Student Handbook and Course Catalog.

The following information is a list of some of the processes, by subject matter area, available to students to raise concerns or complaints, and provides basic information regarding how to access these processes.

If a complaint cannot be resolved through the processes described above, students should submit the following form to the Pennsylvania Department of Education

Unresolved complaints may be filed with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the University's regional accrediting agency, once all other avenues have been exhausted.

Online students from outside of Pennsylvania who have exhausted all efforts to satisfactorily resolve a complaint in a timely manner through the process described above may seek further guidance from their home state SARA Portal Entity. NC-SARA maintains a directory of SARA State Portal Entities.
