Sorority Recruitment

Sorority life provides values-based leadership opportunities, peer and alumni connections and opportunities to make lifelong friendships. Students interested in joining a sorority should learn about the values of each organization and get to know other sorority members.

The University has a deferred recruitment process, meaning that students cannot join a Greek-letter organization until at least their sophomore year. This process allows first-year students to engage with their academics, acclimate to the University and develop friendships with other Bucknellians prior to joining a Greek-letter organization. The one-year deferment also allows potential new members to make a more informed decision about whether sorority life is the best choice for their Bucknell experience.
