Class of 2028 course registration will open in April. The registration deadline is June 14. Please note that course selection is not a first-come, first-served process.
Selecting Your First-semester Courses
Signing up for your first-semester courses is as easy as 1-2-3. Follow the three steps below – learn, ask and select.
Step 1: Learn
There are many resources available to help you learn about the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) and your courses.
- Attend (or watch a recording of) a CAS Webinar. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, April 17. Registration is not required. Follow this link for the webinar.
- Review the material in the CAS First-year Moodle page.
- Sign up for your CAS Mentor Collective one-on-one peer mentor.
- Specific information about courses can be found in several areas:
- Model First-semester Programs
- Course Information for First-year Students
- General University requirements and specific major requirements in the course catalog
Step 2: Ask
Asking to ask questions and seeking assistance is an essential part of the learning process. If you attended or watched the CAS webinar and reviewed the CAS First-year Moodle page and still have questions, please visit our FAQ page to see if the information you need can be found there.
Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions:
- Residential Colleges vs. Foundation Seminars? Please visit the Residential Colleges website or contact rescollege@bucknell.
- About a specific major or courses in a department? Contact the appropriate person in the Class of 2028 Department Contact List. A list of department contacts will be posted in late spring to early summer.
- AP credit or dual-enrollment credit? Please review transfer credit information or contact registrar@bucknell.edu.
You may still have questions after viewing the FAQ and meeting with your summer adviser, and that's OK. Additional questions may be directed fycas@bucknell.edu or 570-577-3293.
Your CAS Mentor Collective peer mentor can also be helpful for questions unrelated to academic advising.
Step 3: Select
Now you're prepared to complete the online registration for your courses. Please note that course selection is not first-come, first-served. The Registrar's Office will begin all course entry after June 14, so there is no need to rush.
