With repertoire ranging from the great orchestral classics to Broadway and film music, the Bucknell Orchestra is recognized throughout the region for its diverse, imaginative programs and quality performances. Concerts often feature soloists of international standing, such as British violinist Jill O’Brien of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Fitzwilliam String Quartet, and Bucknell performance faculty.
Membership is open, by audition, to all students in the University community, regardless of major.
Rehearsals take place in the Weis Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday evenings. The ensemble performs two or more programs each semester.
Concerts are presented in the Weis Center for the Performing Arts, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
