Journey to Bucknell

Our Journey to Bucknell program seeks out the brightest leaders, learners and innovators and invites them to learn more about Bucknell's welcoming, world-class campus.
Journey to Bucknell is designed to introduce high-achieving high school seniors who present a diverse perspective to the endless possibilities that await at Bucknell.
The application for the Fall 2026 Journey to Bucknell program is open.
When is Journey to Bucknell?
This year, our Journey to Bucknell program will begin the evening of Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, and end mid-afternoon Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026. The program includes participation in Bucknell’s Fall Open House taking place on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026.

What do Journey participants do?
- Meet Bucknell's Center for Access & Success and Multicultural Student Services staff and students.
- Sit in on a real Bucknell class taught by a professor.
- Attend application and admission workshops led by the Office of Admissions and Office of Financial Aid.
- Learn more about Bucknell's resources and opportunities, which include:
- GenFirst! first-generation college mentorship program
- Global Connections, Cultures & Community (GC3) pre-orientation program
- The Office of LGBTQ Resources
- The Office of Religious & Spiritual Life
- RAMP Up! pre-orientation program for T.E.A.M. participants
- T.E.A.M. first-year and transfer student mentorship program

- Explore historic downtown Lewisburg.
- Eat in Bucknell's Bostwick Social House with Admissions staff
- Attend the Oct. 3, 2026 Fall Open House, which includes opportunities to tour our state-of-the-art facilities, meet professors and students and more.
How do I apply?
The application for this year's Journey to Bucknell Program is now open. The application will close on Monday, June 8, 2026.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for Journey to Bucknell, you must:
- Be a high school senior who presents a diverse perspective.
- Be enrolled in an academically rigorous program of study with a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5.
- Must attend a high school within one of the following states: Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington D.C.

Application Fee Waivers for Visitors
Students who participate in certain in-person visit options are eligible for an application fee waiver.
