Journey to Bucknell

Our Journey to Bucknell program seeks out the brightest leaders, learners and innovators and invites them to learn more about Bucknell's welcoming, world-class campus.
Journey to Bucknell is designed to introduce high-achieving high school seniors who present a diverse perspective to the endless possibilities that await at Bucknell.
When is Journey to Bucknell?
This year's program is regionally based and will take place Nov. 2-4, 2023, for students who live in the regions indicated below.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a high school senior who presents a diverse perspective.
- Be enrolled in an academically rigorous program of study with a minimum unweighted grade-point average of 3.5.
- Live in or near the following areas:
- Baltimore
- New York City
- Philadelphia
- Washington, D.C.
How much does it cost?
Journey to Bucknell is free for students who are selected to participate, plus one parent or guardian as their guest. Overnight accommodations at a nearby hotel are provided for the student and their parent or guardian.
What do Journey to Bucknell participants do?
Prospective students can experience life as a Bucknell student by:
- Engaging with current students from diverse backgrounds in small group activities and discussions
- Meeting and interacting with Bucknell faculty
- Learning directly from Bucknell Admissions team members on how to prepare your Bucknell application
- Exploring the abundant resources that make a Bucknell experience unforgettable
Dates and Deadlines
- Oct. 4, 2023: Deadline for Journey to Bucknell priority applications. Applications received after this deadline will be reviewed on a space-available basis. Applicants will be notified on a rolling basis.
- Oct. 10, 2023: Applicants will be notified of decisions.
- Nov. 2-4, 2023: Journey to Bucknell program occurs.
