Student CARE & Support

The Office of Student CARE & Support aids students holistically in managing aspects of their personal, social and Bucknell journey. Often, we meet with students who have concerns and may have questions about using campus resources. We also meet with students who may be facing social or emotional challenges due to personal experiences or crises.

We receive referrals from across Bucknell's campus and our community. If you have a concern for a student, please submit a report at bucknell.edu/report.

What is CARE?

Campus Assessment, Response and Evaluation (CARE) focuses on supporting the safety and well-being of the Bucknell community. CARE commits to educating the community, increasing awareness of threats and managing all referrals that may pose a risk to an individual or the campus community. Keeping our campus safe, supporting our students, and mitigating risk at Bucknell are the goals of CARE.

We do not replace emergency services. If there is a true emergency, please call 911 or Public Safety at 570-577-1111.

What is SOS?

Student Outreach and Support (SOS) focuses on supporting students who are navigating a challenge or concern and may benefit from connection to campus resources and support. Staff members from Student Affairs will proactively contact students who may benefit to check-in and offer support. If you feel you need support adjusting to campus life or navigating concerns from home, the SOS Team is here to help!

To contact SOS about another student, please use the form at bucknell.edu/report, and the information will be shared with the appropriate staff. You can also contact the Office of Student CARE & Support directly at studentcare@bucknell.edu or 570-577-3319.
