Housing for Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors

Bucknell's campus housing is your home away from home, offering a welcoming place to relax, study and meet with friends.

From traditional residence hall rooms to apartment-style living, the University offers a variety of excellent student housing options for sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Roberts, Trax and Kress Halls

Roberts, Trax and Kress encircle a serene and welcoming outdoor study area with benches, café tables and 100-year-old trees. 

Renovated in 2016, Roberts Hall provides housing for 136 sophomore students, in two-, three- and four-person suites, each with a private bathroom and shower. Sustainable design features in Roberts include energy-efficient windows, low-flow plumbing and room-occupancy sensors.

Trax and Kress Halls offer co-ed housing and mostly single rooms.

Gateway Residence Center

The Gateway Residence Center comprises five buildings: Roser Hall, Malesardi Hall, Kalman-Posner Hall, Vidinghoff Hall, and Silbermann Hall. 

Combined, they accommodate 256 students. Each floor contains four apartments that house four students each.

Most apartments include four private bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and full bathroom facilities. There are a few apartments that have one double room and two singles.

On-grade apartments are available for students with mobility needs.

Larison Hall, Bucknell Cottage and Harris Hall

Combined, Larison Hall, the Bucknell Cottage and Harris Hall accommodate 275 residents in a variety of room types. All floors are co-ed and include singles, doubles and triples.

These residence halls are located on the edge of campus, meaning Lewisburg's thriving downtown is just minutes away.

South Campus Apartments

Opened in August 2015, Bucknell's South Campus Apartments offer independent-style living and programming, primarily for senior students. Junior students are potentially able to be pulled into an apartment by a senior (please refer to room selection procedures for more details).

The four residence halls are comprised of suites with different configurations of single bedrooms and shared kitchen and bath spaces. Each building contains a themed lounge area for fun or study.

Bucknell West

Nestled in a wooded setting on the western edge of campus, Bucknell West provides accommodations for 272 sophomores, juniors and seniors in apartment-style suites.

Each H-shaped building has two wings, and each wing houses four students with two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a combination living room/kitchen.

Fraternity & Sorority Housing
