Housing for Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors

Bucknell's residence halls are your home away from home, offering a welcoming place to relax, study and meet with friends.

From traditional residence hall rooms to apartment-style living, the University offers a variety of excellent student housing options for sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Roberts, Trax and Kress Halls

Roberts, Trax and Kress encircle a serene and welcoming outdoor study area with benches, café tables and 100-year-old trees. 

Renovated in 2016, Roberts Hall provides housing for 136 students, primarily sophomores, in two-, three- and four-person suites, each with a private bathroom and shower. Sustainable design features in Roberts include energy-efficient windows, low-flow plumbing and room-occupancy sensors.

Trax and Kress Halls offer co-ed housing and mostly single rooms.

Gateway Residence Center

The Gateway Residence Center comprises five buildings: Roser Hall, Malesardi Hall, Kalman-Posner Hall, Vidinghoff Hall, and Silbermann Hall. 

Combined, they accommodate 256 students. Each floor contains four suites that house four students each.

Most suites include four private bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and full bathroom facilities. There are a few suites that have one double room and two singles.

On-grade suites are available for students with mobility needs.

Hunt Hall

Hunt Hall contains single units with a few double rooms and is located a short walk from the Elaine Langone Center, the 7th Street Café and the Kenneth Langone Athletics & Recreation Center. 

In addition, Hunt Hall houses Bucknell's sororities and offers event and meeting spaces on the first floor.

Larison and Harris Halls

Combined, Larison Hall, the Bucknell Cottage and Harris Hall accommodate 275 residents in a variety of room types. All floors are co-ed and include singles, doubles and triples.

These residence halls are located on the edge of campus, meaning Lewisburg's thriving downtown is just minutes away.

South Campus Apartments

Opened in August 2015, Bucknell's South Campus Apartments offer independent-style living and programming for seniors.

The four residence halls are comprised of suites with different configurations of single bedrooms and shared kitchen and bath spaces. Each building contains a themed lounge area for fun or study.

Bucknell West

Nestled in a wooded setting on the western edge of campus, Bucknell West provides accommodations for 272 sophomores, juniors and seniors in apartment-style suites.

Each H-shaped building has two wings, and each wing houses four students with two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a combination living room/kitchen.
