Dual Program in Engineering & Management
The five-year Program in Engineering & Management combines the technical capabilities of engineering with the business acumen of management to prepare students for leadership roles in technology companies.
Graduates are awarded a single degree consisting of a bachelor of science in their engineering major and a bachelor of management for engineers.
The degree has the same ABET accreditation status as the engineering major’s four-year degree.
Students in this program must fulfill the course distribution and major requirements for the Freeman College of Management and their engineering major. The bachelor of management for engineers component of the program consists of eight management courses, including an introduction to organizations and management, foundations of accounting, and marketing. Suggested course sequences for each five-year program are available from the Office of the Dean of Engineering.
Prospective students interested in pursuing this five-year degree program are encouraged to apply for admission directly into the program. Admission to this joint degree program may be limited by enrollment.
