Bauer Scholars Program
The Charles T. Bauer Scholars Program is one of five signature programs supported by the Center for Access & Success. The program offers merit scholarships to students who qualify for need-based financial aid from Baltimore City or Baltimore County, Md. Recipients will receive notifications along with their admissions decisions.
The Award
- A $20,000 scholarship and an enhanced financial aid package that will meet the full demonstrated need of the student as determined by the Bucknell Office of Financial Aid.
How to Apply
All students who meet the residency requirements are automatically considered. Students and their families will be invited to an information session held in the fall.
- Complete your Common Application or Coalition Application by:
- Nov. 1 for Early Decision I
- Jan. 10 for Early Decision II and Regular Decision
- Complete your Financial Aid Application, including your CSS Profile and FAFSA, by your admission round deadline (see above).
- Attend a high school in Baltimore City or Baltimore County, Md.
- Optional: Encourage your school counselor to submit a nomination form on your behalf.
Scholarship Recipient Participation Expectations
This scholarship is renewable annually if the participation expectations outlined below are met. Merit Scholarship awards do not increase in subsequent years.
- Participation in Bucknell's T.E.A.M. Mentor Program, which begins with a Pre-Orientation experience that partners first-year student scholars with an upper-class peer mentor to establish a supportive and invaluable relationship.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress and remain in good social standing.
