Important Dates
Class of 2028
- Move-in is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 21, 8 a.m. – noon.
- New Student Orientation is Wednesday, Aug. 21 – Sunday, Aug. 25.
Class of 2028 students who choose to participate in the Pre-O program
Move-in is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 16, 7 – 11 a.m.
Pre-Orientation programs begin on Friday, Aug. 16, and lead up to the start of Orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
New Student Orientation dates are Wednesday, Aug. 21 – Sunday, Aug. 25.
Transfer students
- Move-in for students who will be living on campus is Thursday, Aug. 22, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- New Student Orientation is Thursday, Aug. 22 – Sunday, Aug. 25.
Pre-Orientation & Orientation Programs

Our on-campus Orientation program focuses on academic and social expectations, learning University traditions, meeting new classmates and, of course, fun.

Residential Colleges are living-learning communities for first-year students. They're tied to a first-semester class, so you'll get to live and learn with students who share your interests.Residential Colleges are open to all students. You can sign up to join whichever Residential College interests you, regardless of what you plan to major in.
Global & Off-campus Education
Study Abroad
There's no substitute for the experience of exploring new places, meeting new people and the learning that happens through those encounters.
Through our "Bucknell In" programs, exchanges and more than 450 partner programs, students can travel and explore the world around them while keeping their graduation requirements on track.
